O Festival International de Piano do Algarve está de regresso ao TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão para a sua sétima edição que, até abril do próximo ano, volta a reunir solistas e orquestras de renome em seis concertos imperdíveis.
Com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de Portimão, Região de Turismo do Algarve e Antena 2, esta já habitual produção da associação cultural Arte do Sul arrancou, em Portimão, no passado dia 2 de outubro, com o “Concerto para Piano a 4 Mãos”, a única peça do género escrita pelo maestro Armando Mota, director do Festival, que na ocasião dirigirá Mário Laginha, Pedro Burmester e a Orquestra Sinfónica do Algarve (SOA), num espectáculo dedicado a Bernardo Sassetti.

O próximo concerto, marcado para as 19 horas do dia 12 de novembro, trará ao Grande Auditório do TEMPO o solista Rodrigo Teixeira, que interpretará Beethoven (“Sonata nº30 em Mi Maior, Op.109”), Rachmaninoff (“Sonata nº2, Op. .36”), Bartók (“Piano Sonata, Sz.80”) e Liszt (“Piano Sonata, Sz.80”).
Depois de uma pausa em dezembro, a programação do festival será retomada a 28 de janeiro de 2023, com o pianista sérvio Zoran Imsirovic e SOA, seguindo-se a 18 de fevereiro o solista Adriano Jordão, também acompanhado por SOA, e a 22 de março a solista portuguesa Marta Menezes.
O sexto e último concerto desta edição do Algarve International Piano Festival terá lugar no dia 22 de abril e estará a cargo do solista espanhol Manuel Nicolas Margineanu.

The Algarve International Piano Festival is back at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão for its seventh edition which, until April next year, will once again bring together renowned soloists and orchestras in six unmissable concerts.

With the support of the Municipality of Portimão, Algarve Tourism Region and Antena 2, this already usual production of the cultural association Arte do Sul will start, in Portimão, this Sunday, October 2, with the “Concerto para Piano a 4 Mãos”, the only piece of its kind written by conductor Armando Mota, director of the Festival, who on the occasion will direct Mário Laginha, Pedro Burmester and the Orquestra Sinfónica do Algarve (SOA), in a show dedicated to Bernardo Sassetti.

The sixth and final concert of this edition of the Algarve International Piano Festival will take place on April 22 and will be in charge of the Spanish soloist Manuel Nicolas Margineanu.
